Besties invited to celebrate Galentine’s Day at Sheraton Port Douglas

Celebrated the day before Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day is a celebration of friendship, and in a close-knit community like the Douglas Shire, it’s the perfect excuse to come together at Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort Port Douglas.
On Friday, February 13, locals and visitors are invited to raise a glass to their favourite friendships at Daintree Bar, which will host a Galentine’s-inspired high tea featuring a decadent buffet, live entertainment and a relaxed, celebratory vibe.
A non-traditional take on high tea sets the tone for the afternoon, with an Espresso Martini or glass of French champagne on arrival, followed by an abundant buffet and live music from ARIA Award–winning artist Kiki Courtidis.
Premium teas will be available throughout the afternoon, with the option to upgrade to a 2.5-hour wine package for an additional $40.
The buffet delivers a playful spin on high tea with savoury bites, sweet treats, housemade scones, all crowned by a chocolate fountain that’s guaranteed to steal the spotlight.
The resort’s Culinary Director, Belinda Tuckwell, said the event was designed to highlight life’s most important relationships, which often go uncelebrated.
“We wanted to give people a reason to come together and celebrate friendship and community,” she said.
“The Galentine’s Day High Tea is designed to be relaxed and social, combining traditional high tea favourites with a local twist, a welcome cocktail and live music to create a memorable experience.”
