The much-anticipated event will bring together women from across the region to recognise the role they play in shaping the community and give back in a meaningful way.

All proceeds from the fundraiser, including raffle ticket sales, will support the Neighbourhood Centre’s Child and Parent Support Program, which provides free family counselling services throughout the shire.

Last year alone, the program delivered 103 counselling sessions, helping families navigate challenges ranging from relationship breakdowns to parenting pressures and life transitions.

Belinda Fischer, Neighbourhood Centre Coordinator, said the luncheon plays a vital dual role: celebrating women’s achievements while quietly funding essential frontline support.

“International Women’s Day is a chance to acknowledge the incredible women in our community, but it’s also an opportunity to give back in a practical way,” Ms Fischer said. 

“Every ticket sold helps ensure families can access counselling when they need it most, regardless of their financial situation.”
