Coen has been spared disaster from Tropical Cyclone Narelle, with Police releasing vision and details from the remote town showing there have been no reports of significant infrastructure damage, injury or rescues from the community.

The Queensland Police Service (QPS) is urging residents to please pay attention to the relevant safety messaging, including the emergency alerts and warnings you may receive via text or see on social media.

Motorists in flood affected areas are asked to avoid unnecessary travel and urged to never drive through flood waters. Your car cannot keep you safe. If it’s flooded, forget it.
