Nighttime maintenance work will start in May on the Barron River bridge.
As part of the regular ongoing program of maintenance on the bridge, the next round of work is scheduled for most of May.
At this stage, it is expected work will start on Tuesday May 5, and continue through to Friday May 29.
Work will occur between 8pm - 4am, with speed reduced to 40km/h.
The bridge will operate as a single lane over the four weeks, and during the final two weeks, May 18-29, intermittent full closure of the bridge will be necessary.
Variable Message Signs (VMSs) will be in place on the approaches to the worksite to ensure all motorists are aware of the changed traffic conditions.
Any changes in dates due, for instance, to poor weather, will also be posted on the VMSs.
