BUSINESS FEATURE
What if you could boogie-woogie to the greatest hits of the 60s and 70s, have a brilliant night out, and support a vital local cause all at the same time? Sounds like the perfect combination, right?
The Port Douglas Neighbourhood Centre is bringing the ultimate throwback event back to town with a fun-filled 60’s & 70’s Music Bingo Night on Friday, 3rd July at the Port Douglas Community Hall.
After last year’s event absolutely went off with a bang, this year’s night is set to be even bigger and better.
Guests of all ages are invited to test their music knowledge and sing along to two unforgettable decades of classic tracks, it’s basically bingo with a musical twist.
To keep the retro vibes flowing, the night features a licensed bar, a delicious local BBQ, and Cent Sale Raffles with great prizes.
Everyone is highly encouraged to hunt through their wardrobes for those forgotten flares, platform shoes, tie-dye shirts, or disco outfits to snap up a prize in the Best Dressed Competition.
Party for a good cause
Every dollar raised is going directly toward much-needed renovations for the Port Douglas Neighbourhood Centre as part of their major “Be the Reason We Grow” fundraising campaign, helping them continue the incredible, supportive work they do daily for our local community.
Belinda Fischer, Neighbourhood Centre Coordinator said:
“After last year’s funds successfully backed our Emergency Relief Program, this year’s proceeds will help enclose our back deck to create a larger, air-conditioned hub.
“This upgrade will allow us to run year-round workshops, social programs, and support services in a comfortable, accessible space. bringing people together and helping to reduce social isolation in our community."
