Big turnout as Mossman High connects students with future careers

Mossman State High School’s Indoor Sports Centre was bustling on Tuesday evening, 25 August, as a large crowd of students and parents turned out for the annual Subject and Careers’ Expo.
The event provided families a comprehensive look at the subject offerings for 2027, giving students direct access to teaching staff for tailored advice on academic requirements and career planning.
Alongside school staff, a wide variety of local businesses, universities, Registered Training Organisations, and emergency services were on hand to outline future study options and employment avenues.
Senior School Head of Department Belinda Guthrie highlighted the months of preparation behind the event, noting the vital support of external partners.
“Mossman High extends its sincere thanks to all participating organisations for making the night a success,” Ms Guthrie said.
