Perfect Tropical North Queensland weather greeted competitors across the Half Marathon, Pacific Toyota 10km, 5km, and Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort 2km Run/Walk. 

Colourful costumes, vibrant team gear, and high spirits lined the course, which culminated in a spectacular finish on the sands of Four Mile Beach.

Participants travelled from around the globe to take part, alongside Australian Olympian and marathon star Andy Buchanan, who joined the pack in the 10km event. 

Backing the runners were more than 200 local volunteers, providing energy and support from aid stations to the finish line.

A true community effort

Beyond the front-runners, the day was a true community celebration, wrapping up with live music, food trucks, and beachfront festivities well into the afternoon.

Festival Director Bade Stapleton credited the local support and unique tropical backdrop for the event's surging popularity.

“To grow from 1,500 runners in our first year to 2,500 in year two is something we are incredibly proud of,” Stapleton said. 

“When you see that finish line on Four Mile Beach, you understand why this event is so special. There simply aren’t many places in the world where you can finish a race like this.”
