Young golfer Aiden has hit a hole in one on the Mossman golf course - exactly three months after his grandfather, or nonno, Peter Santarossa landed one.
Aiden, 10, hit his on the 10th hole, while Peter scored his on the 8th - the crucial difference being Peter’s won him about $6600 because the 8th is the jackpot hole, while Aiden’s was simply for the love of golf.
And the young up-and-coming star has loved golf for half his life since he started playing at age five when Peter took him out on the course as part of his solemn babysitting duties.
“Nonno took me out one day and I’ve just loved it since then,” Aiden says.
“(It’s) just being outside and being on the course.”
Aiden was the 2024 Mossman Golf Club junior player of the year.
