Building on its status as an official AACTA Qualifying Film Festival, Port Shorts offers a direct pathway to Australia’s highest screen honours.
Through its ongoing partnership with the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts, all Open Category finalists, who compete for a share of thousands in cash and prizes, gain eligibility and discounted entry into the prestigious AACTA Best Short Film Award category.
Local storytellers also have their sights set on the Best Queensland Short Film presented by AACTA.
