A puppy found alone late at night on a remote Outback road now has a name and is “absolutely thriving”.
Pet-rescue centre Remote Animal Assistance yesterday reported on the progress of puppy “Remi-Bean”.

“His eyes have opened, his ears are working, and his tiny baby teeth are starting to come through,” an RAA spokeswoman said.
“He's discovered his voice, loves his bottle feeds, and is now walking around, although he still hasn't quite mastered going forwards and has a habit of wiggling backwards instead!”
Remi-Bean is now just under 1kg and loves to wag his tail, play, and snuggle up with his favourite teddy bear for naps.
“He regularly visits the Infinite Aged Care home in Edmonton with his foster carer, where he's become a favourite among the residents and staff alike,” she said.
“From being found alone on the roadside to being surrounded by love, Remi-Bean is going to have a good life.”
Last month, Remi-Bean was found alone late at night on an outback Hope Vale road about 50km northwest of Cooktown and saved by a passerby.
The RAA, which specialises in rescuing dogs in remote FNQ settings, said there was no sign of the dog’s mum or littermates when he was found.
