Grant Street Kitchen has been identified as a Casual Contact hot spot.

The Queensland Government has identified three Casual Contacts in the Port Douglas area.
Contact tracing is a way of slowing the spread of infections by identifying people who have been in contact with an infected person. If you're an infected person, your doctor may ask for the details of any people you've been in contact with.

This table shows the contact tracing locations:

Casual contacts

If you have been to a casual contact location at the relevant times, you are considered a casual contact and must do the following:

  1. immediately travel by private transport directly to your home or accommodation and quarantine
  2. get tested at your earliest opportunity
  3. continue to quarantine until you receive a negative result
  4. continue to monitor for symptoms, if you become symptomatic get tested and isolate until you receive a negative result.

 Low risk contacts

If you have been to a low risk contact location at the relevant times, you are considered a low risk contact and must do the following:

  1. get tested at your earliest convenience but you do not need to quarantine until you receive a negative test result
  2. continue to monitor for symptoms, if you become symptomatic get tested and isolate until you receive a negative result.

Interstate close contact referral form:

If you are currently in Queensland and have been advised by your home state/territory that you are a close contact, please complete the close contact form to inform Queensland Health.

Please travel directly to your accommodation and quarantine. You may leave your accommodation to get tested at your earliest opportunity and wear a mask. Find where to get tested.

Queensland Health will contact you to advise you further. Please note, this contact may be by phone, SMS or email.

If you are no longer in Queensland please check with the relevant state health department for health advice and requirements.

Safe to visit

These listed locations are safe to visit. When a contact tracing alert is issued, a venue may have to close for cleaning, and some staff may need to quarantine, but once that cleaning is complete they are able to re-open. If a business is open and trading it is safe to visit.

In addition to these current exposure venues in Queensland, public health units will also contact affected businesses and households directly for contact tracing purposes even when they are not listed here.
