CASUAL ON-CALL TRANSFER STAFF Community Funerals is seeking staff to be available on weeknights (4pm-8am) and at weekends (24hrs) to assist with the transfer of deceased persons. Full training will be provided. Staff are rostered on-call one week in three and can usually fit this work around a regular weekday job. You will be paid a daily on-call allowance and a generous $300.00 minimum call out payment. The Port Douglas Neighbourhood Centre is hosting its popular 60s & 70s Music Bingo Night on Friday, 3 July at the Port Douglas Community Hall. This throwback event is a major initiative under the Centre’s broader “Be the Reason We Grow” fundraising campaign, which aims to fund vital infrastructure upgrades. The family-friendly evening features musical bingo, a licensed bar, a local BBQ, raffle prizes, and a Best Dressed Competition for retro outfits. Every dollar raised goes directly toward the “Be the Reason We Grow” campaign. This year's proceeds are specifically earmarked to enclose the Centre's back deck, creating a larger, air-conditioned hub to host year-round workshops, social programs, and support services.
