The Panthers and Magpies on the court.

Round eight of the Douglas netball association 2021 season began with the Stingers taking on the Storm in the juniors.

It was dead even in the first quarter before the Storm took off in the second to run home with the win 25 – 15.

Best and Fairest: Hailey Fischer
Players Choice: Nicola Lane and Imogen Lyne

In the senior’s division one, the Cougars versed the Drifters.

It was a fairly even first quarter before the Cougars found their groove taking off to lead the rest of the game, winning 47 – 19.

Best and Fairest: Nikkaya Williams
Players Choice: Laura McHugh and Marley Cairns

The second division one game saw the Crocs and Sharks face off.

The Sharks got out to an early lead to be up at the first break, however, a strong final three quarters from the Crocs saw them steal the game 39 – 28.

Best and Fairest: Hineida Shortland
Players Choice: Kirra Howard and Aleesha Menere

In the senior’s division two, the Poison took on Rattle in a tight matchup.

Poison got out to a strong start before Rattle inched back to just get their noses in front to win 34 – 28.

Players Choice: Eliza Kuik and Kyah Meghni-O'Sullivan

Lastly the Panthers versed the Magpies. While the game began relatively even, a huge dominating second half by the Magpies saw them take the win 51 – 14.
