More Than Just A Word. Reconciliation Takes Action, - that’s the theme for 2021 National Reconciliation Week.

In the spirit of this year’s theme, Douglas Shire’s Indigenous Events Committee is hosting a week of events and activities to celebrate Reconciliation. Events began last week and will continue until Wednesday.

Last Friday saw the Reconciliation Community Day held in Port Douglas. The day included a Colour Fun Run in Rex Smeal Park for, reconciliation messages on a Sea of Hands, cultural performers and Indigenous market stalls.

See the full program of events here.
