The Mighty Mossman Show is back in 2021 and preparations are well underway.

The Mossman and District Show Society is locking in entertainment for the COVID-safe event to be held at the Mossman Showgrounds on July 18 and 19.

Local revellers will be eyeing off the annual long weekend after the 69th Annual Show was cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19.

Sponsorship opportunities will be made available in coming weeks.

Mossman and District Show Society President Matthew Hatfield said the association was meeting regularly to finalise the 2021 program.

“Interest in the show continues to grow and we look forward to putting on a great weekend of entertainment for everyone,” he said.

“Our members have been working hard behind-the-scenes to put all the required COVID changes in place and secure a solid offering of entertainment for our community.

“We expect to see all of our usual exhibits with more details around sponsorship opportunities and entertainment to be revealed soon.”

The Mossman and District Show Society is a not-for-profit association behind the annual Mossman Show.

The annual event is a small local show that celebrates our region’s agriculture industry, showcases local exhibits and provides family-friendly entertainment.

The first Mossman Show was held in 1952.
