A weekend of beer, bretzel & bratwurst: Hemingway’s Brewery Cairns Wharf hosts Oktoberfest

Hemingway’s Brewery Cairns Wharf returns to hosting its annual Oktoberfest event on Sunday 3 October 2021.


The traditional German festivities will feature an inclusive tropical spin that showcases FNQ’s craft brewers with a traditional nod to German cuisine and brews.

In a first since its Oktoberfest celebrations began in 2017, Hemingway’s partners with fellow brewers, Sauce Brewing, Macalister Brewing Company, Barrier Reef Brewing Co, and Coral Sea Brewing to showcase five hand-crafted, German ales.

These hand-crafted German Ales will be the perfect match to a festive menu featuring Pig on a Spit, smoked meats, currywurst, bratwurst, schnitzel and more.

This free to enter, family-friendly event will also feature live music from local talent, Tony George with lots of dancing and the usual beer festival atmosphere.

There will be a host of fun competitions and prizes for the best dressed as well as the ever-popular keg lifting competition.
