The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following the death of a man at Chillagoe on Thursday January 13.

At around 1.10pm the man was struck by a truck at a worksite on the Burke Development Road, north west of Chillagoe.

The 50-year-old from Mareeba man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Investigations by police and officers from Workplace Health and Safety are continuing and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
