Mossman police are continuing to appeal for witnesses and information regarding a hit and run traffic crash between a motorcycle and bicycle that occurred on Foxton Avenue at Mossman at around 2.30pm on September 11.

A 37-year-old male bicycle rider sustained significant injuries after a northbound motorcycle rider was allegedly riding dangerously on the footpath.

Initial investigations indicate that the motorbike collided with the cyclist, knocking him from his bicycle before riding over the top of the cyclist. The motorcycle rider failed to remain at the scene.

The motorcycle is described as blue and white in colour and possibly a Yamaha off-road motorbike or similar.

Police appeal to anyone with information, who may have seen the motorbike described and anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage in the area surrounding Foxton Avenue between 2pm and 3pm on September 11 to contact police.
