In a tragic development a report is being prepared for the coroner after the death of a 20-year-old international male tourist at a well known Far North waterhole just a short time ago.

Police confirmed divers have located a body after reports the tourist had failed to resurface after allegedly jumping from a ledge at Crystal Cascades, a watering hole in the picturesque suburb of Redlynch, in Cairns a number of days ago.

Police said they were called to the site at 3.30pm last Sunday and the search operation continued through until yesterday evening where they sadly located the man at around 6pm.
