Douglas Shire Deputy Mayor Lisa Scomazzon has reinforced the need for the Douglas Shire community to continue to unite and rally together in the wake of last Friday's development regarding Mossman Mill going into liquidation.

It was hoped a mystery investor(s) would help secure the Mill's immediate future, but a deal couldn't be done before last week's deadline.

Despite that, Cr Scomazzon said the people of Mossman and the Douglas Shire remain extremely resilient and that we will find a way through this.
