The dingoes of Port Douglas are back making headlines with debate raging over how to manage those impacting the urban area while trying to keep the much loved rainforest dingoes safe.

And while conservationist and dingo lovers continue calls on Douglas Shire Council to show proof of the more than 30 incident long list of formal complaints - including attacks on pets and stalking of people - which has kept them firm in following legislation in the approach to dingo management, it also is showing people have a bite far stronger than many of those native dog in the firing line.
