An exciting opportunity has become available for a hospitality professional to manage the iconic Port Douglas Yacht Club. We are looking for an experienced Club Manager. The job on offer is a full-time salaried position.
Port Douglas Yacht Club is a not-for-profit sailing club with a 140 seat open air, under cover, restaurant and bar. We have a large, grassed lawn overlooking the idyllic Dickson Inlet catering for restaurant dining and events. Our members facilities include ablution and laundry, storage lockers and boat storage and maintenance yard.
The candidate must have:
Previous experience in bar and restaurant management
Strong business and financial acumen (a must)
Willing and able to work evenings and weekends on a five day roster
This is a full-time, long-term career position. Fantastic above award salary on offer, $70k plus, depending on experience. A qualification in hospitality or business management is beneficial.

The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the achievement of safety and production targets by providing hire quality and timely electrical maintenance service to on-site operations. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Preventative maintenance and repairs to minimise operational downtime;
Electrical inspections, installations and upgrades.
Fault finding and trouble-shooting electrical issues and breakdowns.
Estimation of time and materials required to complete jobs and raising of orders;
Have the ability to attend break-downs as required by the business.
Ability to interpret and update technical drawings.
Supervise the work of electrical contractors when engaged to carry out work on-site; and
Flexibility to perform a wide range of tasks within a small maintenance team.
To succeed in this role, it is vital for the successful applicant to have experience in similar roles in heavy industry/mining, as well as possess good numerical and literacy skills. The candidate must have:
Current Queensland Electrical Licence;

Mt Carbine has a rich history of tungsten production and is strategically and conveniently located only 75k kms from beautiful Port Douglas in Far North Queensland. Candidates will be employed on an attractive, even-time roster working 12 hour shifts (7/7). The rostered shifts will be day shift only, with potential callout for breakdowns during night shift while rostered on (4-hr paid callout fee).
