EXCLUSIVE: WELCOME BACK: Iconic Daintree Village hotel to re-open this Saturday
ALL SMILES

In a development set to warm the hearts of local residents Newsport can exclusively reveal that the iconic Daintree Village hotel will re-open for business this Saturday.
The popular watering hole and community gathering location has remained closed since March 24 when a lack of staff, who moved on to other positions, forced owners to close the doors.
However as Newsport first mooted just two weeks’ ago, doors will again open bringing cold beer and a good feed back to locals and tourists alike.
“We are very excited to be re-opening, we’ve always been a place that welcomes everyone – both locals and tourists," acting manager Jody Westbrook told Newsport.
“We’re delighted to again be opening the doors – it’s been a long couple of months, but everyone here is ready – it’s an exciting time.”
New staff are on deck ahead of Saturday's opening.
The Daintree Village hotel remains for sale, along with two others in the Daintree Rainforest area owned by the same company.
The Hotel, the renowned Daintree Ecolodge and the Red Mill House Bed & Breakfast, owned by the Morris family’s Northern Escape Collection, are being offered individually or in “one line” through CBRE Hotels.
