It’s mental health week and it's a great opportunity for Douglas Shire residents to celebrate, learn, and embrace our changing states of mind, thoughts, health and wellbeing.

Mossman Support Services is proud to present heads hearts and harmony: a community mental health event being held today and tomorrow.

Mental health wellbeing is not a privilege and achieving it does not require a clinical diagnosis or treatment plan. This event intends to showcase the many existing resources, programs and opportunities in the Douglas Shire that can contribute to our well-being, no matter where you live or what your bank account looks like.

We would like to invite the community to attend two days of workshops and informative talks being facilitated by our community’s highly skilled practitioners across the many fields of mental health.

These include gut/brain health, laughter, tai chi, psychology, vibration, music, yoga, and personal experiences, plus so much more.

Today, a workshop kicks off at 10am at the CWA Hall, Mossman.

These workshops will provide tips and tools to enhance our individual well-being and peace of mind.

Tomorrow, October 13 we are hosting 'The Talks', a symposium of speakers, experts in their chosen fields, who will share their insight and experience and unpack some of the stigma that surrounds mental health.

All workshops and talks are free, simply register your interest at www.mossmansupportservices.org.au/events or call 4098 2836 to learn more.
