The Reef Raiders will play their first home game of the season tomorrow when the Port Douglas Rugby Club hosts a double header at Raider Park.

The Reef Raiders play Barron Trinity Bulls in round three of Rainforestation Cup action, while seperately the FNQ under-16s representative team will clash with Lindfield Rugby Club from Sydney in a curtainraiser to the main match.

“The club is looking forward to hosting both Barron Trinity & Lindfield Rugby Club tomorrow in what should be a great day of rugby, showcasing both A-Grade and the future of FNQ Rugby with the under-16s.” club president Travis Gooch told Newsport.

“The newly renovated clubhouse will also be on display for the first time, which is looking outstanding and no doubt will be a pleasant surprise for our supporters.”

The Reef Raiders opened their 2024 season with a narrow loss 25-20 to Northern Beaches Mudcrabs last weekend at Yorkey’s Knob.

The Raiders jumped out to an early lead, Mudcrabs then fought their way back into the game before clinching the win.

Tomorrow's representative match gets underway at 2:30pm, with Raiders vs Barron Bulls to follow at 4pm.
