Sorry, but no sympathy for these fools! Although I hope no-one died, there is a part of me that hope that their insurance companies just go "Computer says no..."

Ashley Egan

There's a pajero or prado buried nearly to the roof just there were they went off last year. I saw it a few times. I now wish I took a picture.

Having crossed several rivers and creeks some low and some very high, it's a judgement that you must make. And there are some key factors that need to be addressed before you do it.

The depth indicator is showing that the water is 800mm deep; that is a lot of sidewards force against the vehicle when the river is flowing that fast.

Brooke Urch

Vinny Ozorio

No sympathy for people doing this stupid action. Endangering others lives trying to rescue them.

You’d have to walk around Port Douglas with your eyes closed at the moment not to notice the businesses closed or about to close. What is it in our tax system that permits commercial property owners to be happy to leave premises empty rather than accept a reasonably negotiated rent? Or am I missing something?

Alf Craig

And every time the Ergon bills hit town the town goes deathly quiet for a fortnight... And now the cost-of-living rebate has been ended this economic crippler will really bite even harder.
