The clouds parted mid morning yesterday to reveal a beautiful day in Douglas Shire, and the crowds turned out on cue to celebrate the 74th edition of Mossman Show.

Sideshow alley was popular, as were the pig racing and the woodchopping.

The horses dominated the main arena, including equestrian and show jumping, and the flipping motorbikes were another crowd favourite.

There were line-ups at the gates and laughing and screaming children on the rides and bumper cars.

If you could not make it yesterday, there is still time to get down there today before the carnies pack everything away and move onto the next town.

Go on, you know you want it.
