Michelin starred chefs to headline 10th year of Taste Port Douglas
TASTE DECADE
Can you believe it has already been a decade since Taste Port Douglas first launched? Ten years on, the event has become a regular fixture on the region’s calendar, positioning Port Douglas as a food and travel destination.
Returning from 6 to 9 August 2026, the Taste Port Douglas Food & Drink Festival will mark its 10th anniversary with a program of more than 40 events across four days.
The festival, presented by Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort Port Douglas, will once again bring together a mix of international and Australian chefs, alongside a series of dining experiences, masterclasses and venue takeovers across the region.
Supported by the Queensland Government through Tourism and Events Queensland, the event continues to play a role in positioning Port Douglas as a food and travel destination within Tropical North Queensland.
A number of internationally recognised chefs are set to appear at this year’s festival, many linked to Michelin-starred and award-winning restaurants.
Festival events will take place across Port Douglas and surrounding areas, with Rex Smeal Park returning as the Culinary Pavilion, hosting several of the festival’s larger gatherings, including the Official Opening Party and Long Lunch Series.
Other events include the “Takeover Series”, where visiting chefs collaborate with local venues, and the return of “Night of Fire” at Flames of the Forest, now in its fourth year
Festival Director Reina Patrick said the 2026 program reflects the evolution of the event over the past decade.
“The 2026 program is a celebration of everything Taste Port Douglas has become over the past decade, world-class culinary talent, unforgettable food and drink experiences, and a genuine connection to place,” Ms Patrick said.
“To welcome such an exceptional mix of international chefs, leading Australian talent and returning favourites to Port Douglas for this milestone year is incredibly exciting.
“We are proud to showcase the very best of our region while giving guests the chance to experience the warmth, beauty and flavour of Tropical North Queensland in a way that feels intimate, vibrant and uniquely Taste Port Douglas.”
