The iconic Port Douglas Sugar Wharf was buzzing on Monday night, May 18, as locals and visitors gathered for the opening of the Go Troppo exhibition by Port Douglas Artists Inc.
Kicking off the Carnivale 2026 festivities, the opening night gave attendees a first look at an incredible showcase of contemporary art from across Far North Queensland, all tied into this year's Carnivale theme; Ancient Wonders.
If you missed last night's opening, the exhibition runs daily from Tuesday, 19 May to Sunday, 24 May, between 10.00am and 5.00pm. It’s free to head in, wander through the historic wharf, and check out some amazing regional talent.
