A Mossman-based music group is set to release a new song and video this month about their experiences growing up in the Far North Queensland Douglas Shire town.

The track Still Believing by Mossman Mob features a talented group of young performers singing about a range of topics including the sugar industry, the skate park, the bakery and the Sharks rugby league team, all set to an infectious beat.

Led by Desert Pea Media and Jabalbina, the project has been created on Eastern Kuku Yalanji Country with a $30,000 grant through Douglas Shire Council and the Federal and State Governments.

“An incredible new track is coming,” a Desert Pea release states.

“Mossman Mob - Still Believing dropping soon.”

The initiative is part of the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements initiated after Cyclone Jasper to help communities get back on their feet.

Look out for the release of the track on the popular music platforms in the middle of May and get a small taste of what to expect HERE.
