If you’ve noticed more rhythm in the Douglas Shire lately, Jeanfer Salas's "Keep on Dancing" classes are likely behind it. Things turn up a notch for Carnivale this Friday, May 22, with a world-champion Salsa Workshop at Mossman Shire Hall.

For a couple of years now, Jeanfer Salas has been sharing her love of dance through her "Keep on Dancing" classes for locals in Port Douglas and Mossman.

Now, our local dance community is getting a massive treat just in time for Carnivale.

This Friday, May 22, the Mossman Shire Hall is hosting a special two-hour Salsa Workshop from 10am to 12pm. Standing at the front of the room will be world-class talent: World Salsa Solos Champions and international performers, Jaime Jesus and Mary-Grace Anderson

The session is split perfectly into a one-hour class followed by one hour of social dancing, giving everyone a chance to practice what they’ve learned in a relaxed, fun setting.

If you're worried about having two left feet, don't be. This workshop is designed for absolutely everyone, whether you’ve been dancing for years or have never taken a single step on a dance floor.

You also don't need to bring a partner, as the environment is all about social connection and welcoming newcomers.
