Remote Alcohol and Drug Interventions and Outcomes (RADIO) Mossman Support Services \| Mossman & Mossman Gorge 30 hours per week \| SCHADS Award – Level 5 Are you passionate about supporting young people to make positive changes in their lives? Mossman Support Services is seeking a compassionate, skilled and motivated RADIO Case Manager to join our team and provide alcohol and other drug (AOD) support to young people aged 12–25 years across the Mossman and Mossman Gorge region. This is a rewarding opportunity to work directly with young people using flexible, respectful and non-judgemental approaches, helping them identify their goals, build on their strengths and improve their overall wellbeing. About the role As the RADIO Case Manager, you will provide AOD counselling, therapeutic case management, information, referrals and practical support to young people. Support is holistic and may also address areas such as housing, education and training, employment, family relationships, living skills, social and emotional wellbeing and community connection. MSS - PD RADIO You will use evidence-informed approaches including harm reduction, brief interventions, counselling and motivational approaches, while working collaboratively with young people and other services to achieve meaningful outcomes. MSS - PD RADIO A key part of the role is providing culturally safe and responsive support, particularly when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, recognising the importance of family, kinship, community, culture and connection to Country. MSS - PD RADIO About you We are looking for someone who can build genuine relationships with young people and is comfortable working independently, collaboratively and in community-based settings. Ideally, you will bring: - A relevant qualification in Alcohol and Other Drugs, Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Community Services, Youth Work or a related discipline, and/or demonstrated relevant experience. - Experience supporting young people experiencing complex needs, particularly through AOD assessment, treatment or case management. - Knowledge of harm minimisation, trauma-informed, strengths-based and youth-centred practice. - An understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander social and emotional wellbeing and culturally safe practice. - Strong communication, advocacy, relationship-building, case management and organisational skills. - The ability to work flexibly and undertake outreach and local travel throughout Mossman and Mossman Gorge. MSS - PD RADIO Essential requirements The successful applicant will require a current Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain), current First Aid and CPR certificate, current Queensland C Class Driver Licence, and legal eligibility to work in Australia. 3.	CASUAL ON-CALL TRANSFER STAFF Community Funerals is seeking compassionate and reliable individuals to join our team as Casual On-Call Transfer Staff. This role involves assisting with the respectful transfer of deceased persons into our care during after-hours periods. Availability is required: Weeknights: 4.00pm – 8.00am Weekends: 24-hour on-call availability Staff are generally rostered one week in every three, making this role suitable for someone who may already have regular weekday employment. Full training will be provided. The position includes a daily on-call allowance, as well as a minimum $300 call-out payment when required to attend a transfer.
