This role is essential to maintaining the resort’s presentation standards and delivering a seamless guest experience. COMMUNITY SERVICES TRAINEESHIP Hours: 30 hours per week (Monday – Thursday) Term: 12-month traineeship Salary: This is a traineeship position, with pay in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award traineeship rates (approximately $22.06 per hour). Port Douglas Community Service Network Inc is seeking a Community Services Trainee to gain hands-on experience while completing a Certificate III in Community Services. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone wanting to build a career in Community Services and make a difference in their local community. About the Role This is a practical, hands-on role supporting the day-to-day activities of the Port Douglas Neighbourhood Centre. Some of the tasks you may be involved in include: • Assisting with social groups and community activities • Learning to deliver Emergency Relief and information, advice and referral services • Assisting in the NicNak Shed • Providing front-of-house support by welcoming visitors and assisting with basic enquiries • Driving as part of our Community Transport Program (once trained) You will be working directly with people and supporting activities across the Centre, with no two days the same.
