23.05.26 We had eight shooters today for our Double 600 match. Warm, sunny with a light breeze. We welcomed Ralph & Trixie Loesche from Cairns Club. F Std: First up was Brendan Delaney opening with 52.1 then Cameron Leyshon with 60.5 followed by John Brentson on 50.2 up next was Trixie Loesche with 58.3 and Ralph Loesche shot 59.6. Sporter Hunter: Tom Baetscher scored 49.5 followed by Andy Vance with 49.7 and Liz Vance shot a 49.5. In the Second Round: F Std: Delaney scored 60.3 then Leyshon shot a 63.3 followed by Brentson with 61.3 up next was T Loesche on 63.1 and R Loesche scored 66.1. Sporter Hunter: Baetscher shot a 55.10 then A Vance hit a 52.2 and L Vance closed out the meet with a 53.6. Week 1 of the new Indoor League and last year's Grand Finalists sent a strong message to the other teams with their demolition in the first round. Dave and Rhys had 27 points around The Hills course, which included 3 birdies and 6 pars to start the new league on top of the ladder. Matt and Troy came in second place fighting off a few countback groups as 22 points was a popular score. This week's course is Aronimink, which held the PGA Championship last week. We have 7 teams in the league and room for plenty more if you are keen. We had thirteen shooters today for our Double 500 match. Conditions were overcast, slight breeze and wet underfoot. We welcomed Mark Beecham from Mareeba club and Ross Harvey and Trevor Deed from Cairns club. F Std: First up was Ross Harvey with 58.5 then Bill Kromwyk with 57.1 followed by Cameron Leyshon with 66.8 followed then John Brentson scored 50.4. Sporter Hunter: Dion Muirhead opened with 44.1 then Luke Coleman scored 48.1 followed by Nate Muirhead with 48.3 then Tom Baetscher shot 46.6 and Sjaak Vanlaar scored 43.1. Target Rifle: Trevor Deed scored 49.2 and Rick Mischlewski shot a 46.2 then Mark Beecham with 48.1. In the Second Round: F Std: Harvey opened with 66.9 then Kromwyk scored 65.5 followed by Leyshon with 66.8 then Brentson scored 59.4.
