NYX Festival 2026
|
After a booming fifth edition, NYX Festival returns as Australia’s up and coming underground arts, music and culture experience to hit the tropical paradise of North Queensland on 19-22 June 2026.
Nestled amongst the picturesque utopian rivers, paper barks and eucalyptus forests, the 4 night experience is set on a remote 30,000 acre property in Ravenshoe nearby Cairns.
Festival theme
NYX Festival Presents – The Midnight Machine
The ancient world has fallen silent. The roots of The Sacred Tree hum with hidden code, and the spirits of the Lost World flicker in fractured neon light. From the ashes of myth, a new experience rises — metallic, electric, alive… and watching. This winter solstice, step into The Midnight Machine: a cyberpunk dreamscape deep in a dystopian world where forest meets circuitry, ritual meets rhythm, and the goddess NYX awakens once more — no longer bound by stars, but by signal.
Lose yourself in the pulse of sound, light, and transformation.
The line between nature and technology dissolves…
and you become part of the Mothership.
As the last echoes of the Lost World fade into corrupted memory, the machines awaken in the bush-silence of FNQ. The ancient forest of the past now stirs under a neon glow, monitored, modified, re-coded. The spirit of NYX stretches her wings into circuitry, forging a new age where nature and cybernetics merge — not in harmony, but in necessity.
In this twilight junction, we enter the domain of the Midnight Machine — a wild landscape of bush and data, vines and wires, ancient knowledge and electric beats, looping endlessly through the system.
Where the goddess of the night rewires the world.
We are the future, together we dance.
Before the signal goes dark.

Four Mile Beach Monthly Clean-up
|
Come and join in our monthly beach clean-up! Help keep this beautiful beach free of marine debris and come and meet like minded people. Registrations are essential - email [email protected] to register your attendance.
What shall I bring?
Volunteers need to wear enclosed shoes, bring sun/rain protection, and plenty of drinking water (1 to 2 litres is recommended). We try to ensure that all Tangaroa Blue events are free from single-use plastic, so bring along your reusable water bottle. All equipment and drinking water top-ups will be provided.
Why is it in the afternoon?
Four Mile Beach is shaded in the afternoon making it a cooler time to be out on the beach. Most debris is along the vegetation or tide lines, so the afternoon reduces sun exposure.
We look forward to seeing you out on the beach!
