Muddies head into tomorrow’s third grade grand final against rivals, Norths, full of confidence following last week’s thumping eight wicket win against Mareeba.

Just days ago Muddies won the toss, sent Mareeba in and claimed their first wicket with the total on 21.

Nick Rayner and Doug Barnes both took further early wickets to reduce Mareeba to 3-51.

Soon after Mareeba went from 4-94, to all out for 110.

Keel Sorensen was the pick of the bowlers with 4-22, while Adrian Bannerman claimed 3-25.

In their chase Muddies never let Mareeba have a sniff with Captain Ethan McCullough (15) and Jake Murphy combining for an opening stand of of 57.

From there Dan Harris (17) and Simeon Miglioranza (16no) made easy work of the total with Murphy (51no) seeing the Muddies home for the loss of only two wickets with almost 10 overs to spare.
