Mossman man, others charged with alleged drug offences after items seized at petrol station

A 30-year-old Mossman man and a 33-year-old Hopevale man have both been charged with allegedly possessing a dangerous drug and possession of drug utensils following a search by Police just a short time ago.

Detectives from the Property Crime Squad searched a car at a Cairns North service station and allegedly located and seized a quantity of cannabis, methamphetamine and a large sword.

The duo will front Cairns Magistrates Court on December 13.

A third man, a 34 year old male from Cooktown, was charged with possession of a knife in a public place and possessing dangerous drugs.

He’ll face Cairns Magistrates Court on December 12.
