A Mount Molloy man will front Cairns Magistrates Court today to face a range of charges including one for allegedly setting up a recording device on a towel in the bathroom of a house in Brinsmead.

Police said a woman contacted them a short time ago about the matter after she noticed the alleged recording device just as she was about to take a shower.

Police made subsequent enquiries and later located the man at a separate Redlynch address in which he was allegedly found in possession of dangerous drugs, drug utensils and women’s underwear.

The 52 year-old man, who was allegedly renting a room at the Brinsmead house, was transported to the watchhouse and consequently charged with making recordings in breach of privacy, possessing dangerous drug, possession of drug utensils and stealing.
