Nestled deep within the lush rainforest, Silky Oaks Lodge has long been a hidden gem, known only to its guests. Now, this five-star retreat extends a warm invitation to locals, inviting them to discover its enchanting ambiance firsthand.

Whether it’s a delectable lunch or a serene spa treatment you seek, Silky Oaks Lodge promises an unforgettable experience during a day visit.

The latest offering, the A Feast for the Senses Lunch and Spa package, allows guests to turn their visit into a full-day celebration. This exclusive package includes a 60-minute spa treatment, which couples can enjoy together, along with a three-course lunch for a truly celebratory day out.

Silky Oaks Lodge General Manager Benjamin Brown  shared, “Silky Oaks Lodge is truly a unique and exclusive retreat, and we’re delighted to offer its amenities to locals".

“The Healing Waters Spa has long been a sought-after destination for spa treatments in the region, making it an ideal option for both locals and visitors,” he continued.

“Whether guests are exploring the region or simply relaxing at the lodge, inviting visitors for lunch at the lodge’s Treehouse Restaurant is a natural extension of our offerings.”

The open-air restaurant offers guests and visitors the opportunity to savour a tropical-themed three-course menu crafted from locally sourced produce and fresh-picked native greens from the on-site kitchen garden. With its high-pitched ceilings and open-air design, diners are immersed in the rainforest canopy, creating a serene dining atmosphere enhanced by the sounds of nature.

Moreover, the Healing Waters Spa boasts six tranquil salons with rainforest views, including a couples’ room and a Vichy shower, drawing inspiration from ancient Indigenous beliefs regarding the Mossman River's renewing and life-giving properties.

Since the Baillie Lodges collection acquired Silky Oaks Lodge in 2019, preparations have been underway to open the lodge to locals. This included a major refurbishment in late 2021, followed by timely adjustments to enhance community engagement efforts.

“It's integral to the Baillie Lodges approach to experiential tourism to collaborate with the local community,” Mr Brown explained. “This involves working with local producers, tradespeople, tour operators, artists, and designers. Welcoming local residents and visitors to enjoy the property is a continuation of this approach.”

Now, all that remains is to book a day out and experience the magic of Silky Oaks Lodge firsthand.
