A nurse I know in Brisbane called them a public health nightmare. You should see the idiots without helmets zooming through the traffic.

Rita Ange

The people that use these rarely wear a helmet and have their ear buds in their ears. They can't hear cars etc. It's not rocket science guys!!!

Jordi Bourne

The amount of riders I’ve seen who can’t ride straight, against oncoming traffic in the bike lane on the main Rd while on their phone is ridiculous.

Roy Gorrell

The more that get injured or killed the better, BAN the stupid things, idiots wanna ride these things suffer the consequences.

Jeremy Maher

Roy Gorell that’s a very narrow minded comment that represents a small percentage of riders. Not all riders are irresponsible.

So you're putting contaminated sand from the inlet onto the beach?

Lachlan Laidlaw

Belinda Barndon, yep they just did it on Oak Beach two days high tide washed most of it away, good way to waste money and sand flies came with it which we didn’t have before. Surely the EPA would be interested.

Tammy Threlfall

What a joke and what a waste of money. Nature is nature and Port lives for the nature. So sad.

Well said and explained. Solar is the way to go. With a battery back up system.

Lawrence Mason

If you have very modest electricity needs a $12k battery might be enough. But if you are running a fridge and 3 aircons it might cost a bit more. And who pays when the battery and associated hardware fails? YOU! Some of us have been doing this for a long time and can't wait to see what happens when city folk get their subsidized batteries and inverters and find out what it costs when they fail!

Simon Jones

Kill two birds with one stone… buy an ev with vehicle to load ( vtl ) and vehicle to grid ( vtg) capacity even though vtg is not happening just yet my understanding is it will in the very short future.

Christopher Saint

Simon Jones all very nice in theory but unfortunately vehicle to grid requires an adaptor even with the limited models that can actually do it - cost around $10k.
