Arrests after police find grow room in Yorkeys Knob

A pair of men have been arrested after a police raid on a Yorkeys Knob home yesterday uncovered several cannabis plants, a separate amount of cannabis and drug utensils.

Both men were charged with drug possession, while one of the pair, a 51-year-old, was charged with possessing utensils, possessing anything used in the commission of crime and producing drugs.

The cannabis and drug paraphernalia were found in a bedroom of the Yorkeys Knob home on Monday, July 7.

The men are scheduled to appear before Cairns Magistrates Court on Wednesday, July 23.
