A 30-year-old man has been charged with methamphetamine possession after being pulled over by police in Mareeba while driving an unregistered car without a licence.

At about 4pm on Monday, July 28, police intercepted the red Mitsubishi Mirage on Keeble Street. 

The car and the driver, a 30-year-old Mareeba man, were searched, with police allegedly finding methamphetamine and drug utensils.

The man was arrested and taken to Mareeba watch house where he was charged with possessing drugs and utensils and driving a car while disqualified.

He is due to appear at the Mareeba Magistrates Court on Monday, August 25.
