Police have released an image of a tractor similar to the one Michael Rennie escaped prison on.

A 43-year-old inmate is still on the run after using a red tractor to escape from Lotus Glen Low Custody Correctional Centre near Mareeba.

Michael Graeme Rennie, who is reportedly serving about six years in prison for offences involving assault, theft, drugs and weapons, escaped from the low-security section of the jail on Sunday (June 1).

Rennie is described as 174cm tall, 56kg, lightly built, with a fair complexion, fair hair and blue eyes.

He has a number of distinctive markings on his body including multiple dog bites and scars on his left arm.

He also has a range of tattoos including a gun on his left shoulder, a dragon and skull on his right shoulder and a clown with a gun on his left ribs.

Queensland Police today released a photo of a red Massey tractor with an attached front bucket similar to the one Rennie was last seen driving at the prison farm when he made his escape.
