Multiple offences, Ravenshoe

 

Police have charged a 40-year-old woman with multiple offences in Ravenshoe on Friday, June 13.

It will be alleged around 3.20pm, police intercepted a red Ford Mustang being driven by a 40-year-old Atherton woman in Ravenshoe.

Police conducted a roadside drug test on the woman which returned a positive result.

The woman was detained for further saliva analysis to which another positive result was provided.

Police later searched the Mustang and located a quantity of cannabis and multiple drug utensils.

The woman was charged with seven offences including three counts of possessing utensils, two counts of obstructing police and one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

The woman also received a 24-hour driver’s licence suspicion notice.

She is due to appear at the Atherton Magistrates Court July 8.

Fraud offences, Mareeba

Police have charged a 42-year-old man with five offences in Mareeba on Friday, June 13.

It will be alleged on January 30, a 42-year-old Mareeba man has unlawfully entered a white Isuzu CXY parked at an Atherton address and stolen a debit card.

It will be further alleged on January 31, the man has used the stolen debit card to make four separate purchases at Atherton businesses.

Through police investigations, the 42-year-old man was identified and on June 13, he was arrested at a Mareeba address for other matters.

The man was transported to Mareeba watchhouse where he was charged with five offences including four counts of fraud and one count of enter premises and commit indictable offence.

He is due to appear in the Atherton Magistrates Court on Tuesday, July 8.

Property offences, Mareeba

Police charged an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy with property offences in Mareeba today (Wednesday, June 18).

It will be alleged around 3.40am, the 17-year-old Mareeba boy and 18-year-old Mareeba man attended a Byrne Street business.

Police will further allege, both the boy and man used a trolley to ram the front glass of the business and then kicked in damaged glass.

Once inside the establishment, the pair have stolen a number of items before leaving.

Police attended the location after receiving a call for service and began investigations on arrival.

Officers were later conducting patrols of the area when they located the 17-year-old boy and 18-year-old man.

Both the man and boy were arrested and transported to Mareeba watchhouse where they were both charged with one count each of enter and commit indictable offence by break.

The 18-year-old Mareeba man is due to appear at the Mareeba Magistrates Court on Monday, July 14.

The 17-year-old Mareeba boy is due to appear st the Mareeba Childrens Court on Monday, July 14.

 

Public nuisance offence, Atherton

Police charged an 18-year-old Atherton woman with offences in Atherton on Thursday, June 12.

It will be alleged around 8am, police received a call for service to attend a Robert Street, Atherton, business in relation to a woman yelling at a man on the street.

On arrival, police located and detained the 18-year-old Atherton woman.

Police will allege the woman was abusive and attempted to leave the scene after she was repeatedly informed she was detained and had to remain at the location.

Officers arrested the woman and transported her to Mareeba watchhouse where she was charged with one count each of public nuisance and obstruct police.

She is due to appear at the Atherton Magistrates Court on Monday, June 30.
