A Port Douglas woman in her 60s has been rushed to Mossman hospital after reports she had been bitten by a snake.

The woman was yesterday in a stable condition after reportedly being bitten on the foot at about 7.30pm on Sunday evening (November 2).

The incident was the second of its kind in Port Douglas in the past six months, with a teenage boy admitted to Mossman Hospital with a snake bite in late July.

The Queensland Ambulance Service could not provide any more details about the latest incident.

If you have information for police about this, or any other, incident contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or crimestoppersqld.com.au.
