Mo-ve over, Scarface, there's a new croc on the block

The largest and most well-known Mowbray River crocodile has been identified in the Daintree River, where he has reportedly been paying visits since late last year.
David White, of croc tour company Solar Whisper, made the discovery this week after tracking an unidentified crocodile in the river for about nine months.

“After months of playing detective, we can finally confirm the mystery croc,” Mr White stated on Monday.
“(He) was none other than Mo 3rd, the reigning heavyweight from the Mowbray River.”
Mr White said Mo arrived in the Daintree in October or November “like he’d been cast as the new leading man”.
He immediately started fighting with another dominant male croc in the river, Scarface.
“Never write off an old king,” he said.
Scarface retreated from the fight with a ruptured abscess, Mr White said, but later returned and chased Mo off until he returned again in May.
For now the pair, however, have been staying away from each other.
“This time there’s been no rematch.
“Both crocs know exactly where the other is, yet neither seems bothered.”
Even the local crocodile expert is stumped by the reason for Mo’s about 45km journey to the Daintree.
“Why leave the Mowbray, swim past every other river and head straight back to Scarface’s turf?”
“Is Mo actually Scarface’s son, returning to claim the throne one day?
“Or is he just that neighbour who keeps saying, ‘Thought I’d drop in’.”
