MAS have a small team providing extension services to members and clients in the sugar industry, and also operate a CRT retail outlet that offers a wide range of agricultural products, including fertiliser and chemicals.
Reporting to the MAS Board the position involves:

CUSTOMER AND OWNER RELATIONS

Check Houses/Apartment before guest arrivals
Checking of rooms for Maintenance items
Coordinating third party contractors to carry agreed works

THE SKILLS YOU BRING
To be considered for this role, you will require:
At least 1-2 years’ experience working within a small to medium sized travel or accommodation organisation.
Good tourism product knowledge within the regions of Cairns through to Port Douglas.
Answer inbound calls promptly, clearly & upbeat.
The ability to build customer rapport.
Be able to communicate with customers & colleagues in a polite, professional & friendly manner.
Use language & tone appropriate to a given situation in both written & spoken communication.
Experience in using Hirum PMS or any other similar Property Management System.
Experience and understanding of OTA (Online Travel Agent) or Wholesaler Intranets, with the following a must;
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Have a general all-round great attitude towards life, the organisation and fellow employees.
Initially, the role will be a casual role of 2-3 days a week, including weekend work.
