DETAILER

Exemplar is looking for a car washer/detailer to work at our depot in Craiglie and to keep our fleet looking spic and span.
We have just constructed a new maintenance shed with a purpose built detailing bay ready to use. This means our detailer will work in the shade, cooled by the continual breeze.

We seek someone who is a self starter, able to follow directives, has a keen work ethic and an eye for detail. You must be fit and healthy and ready to work as an integral member of the Exemplar team.

Hours are 25 hrs per week. Monday to Friday; 2.30pm through to 7.30pm. No public holidays. We pay award rates for casual or part time. If you have an ABN we can look at contracted rates. You need to hold a driver's license. If not, then we can look at your capabilities to drive within the yard.

CASUAL ON-CALL TRANSFER STAFF

Community Funerals is seeking staff to be available on weeknights (4pm-8am) and at weekends (24hrs) to assist with the transfer of deceased persons.
Full training will be provided.

Staff are rostered on-call one week in three and can usually fit this work around a regular weekday job. You will be paid a daily on-call allowance and a generous $300.00 minimum call out payment.
The applicant needs to have a full drivers licence, be well groomed, ability to work as part of a team, maintain confidentiality, physical fitness, willingness to work outside regular business hours and a compassionate and caring attitude.

The famous Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures is North Queensland's premier wildlife-based experience located in the Wet Tropics on the coast between Cairns and Port Douglas. The drive along the coast from either Port Douglas or Cairns, is a great opportunity to unwind from a day at work, with great scenery and not too many traffic lights.

Hartley's is recruiting for a part-time, four day per week, position commencing at the start of 2026. We are looking for a capable, well-presented person to work across both our busy Admissions Counter and Paperbark Giftshop. Both areas can be extremely busy so require people who work well under pressure. In this role you may be the first encounter for our guests, or their last encounter; either way you get to make a great impression!

For your application to be successful you will need to have a strong customer service focus, excellent sales skills, have good organisational skills, basic computer knowledge, cash handling skills and a good eye for detail.

Experience in stock control, merchandising and maintaining a clean retail environment are prerequisites.

We are seeking an honest and reliable person with the ability to work under pressure whilst multitasking.

You must have reliable transport and a current driver’s license as there are no public transport options available to and from Hartley's.

Previous experience in the tourism industry and/or a retail background will be highly regarded.

• Taking all reasonable steps to ensure that the tuckshop does not operate at a loss;
• Assisting in the recruitment and selection of lower classified employees and/or volunteers; and
• Liaising with parents, students, volunteers and other community stakeholders.

Organising and Coordinating
• Planning and selecting appropriate equipment, services, techniques and work organisation for yourself and others;
• Preparing rosters and breaks and attracting volunteers;
• Ordering stock and maintaining stock levels;
• Being responsible for invoicing, billing, and charging;
• Maintaining correct records;
• Providing advice to the P&C’s Executive Committee on the running of the business operation; and
• Ensuring food is ready for service at particular times.

Monitoring
• Ensuring that the tuckshop operates in a safe and hygienic environment and that good quality food is prepared and served each day in a consistent manner;
• Overseeing everyday workplace health and safety practices and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures;
• Supervising employees at lower levels including training, coordinating work flows, checking progress and resolving problems;
• Ensuring all staff and volunteers comply with all relevant policies and procedures; and
• Checking or otherwise dealing with records, writing, correspondence, books, accounts and liaising with volunteers.

To be successful in this role you will possess:
• A current Blue Card and an ability to work around children;
• Relevant qualifications and/or experience relating to the position;
• An understanding of food handling procedures and the Smart Choices strategy;
• An ability to supervise and coordinate others in a friendly and professional manner;
