One of our area’s most iconic little eating venues has shown they’re not just in the business of filling tummies but also galvanising the Douglas Shire community following some recent kind gestures to others in need.

The Beach Shack Co-op is known for its pizzas, drinks and more broadly quick, quality food but this time it’s the business’s generosity that’s in the spotlight.

In recent times Owner Nat Towers’ donated funds to Douglas Paws and Claws and also a whopping $2000 to TARC.

In general Newsport believes in having a community minded approach to help spread positive vibes within the Shire and that includes shining a light on the generosity of people like Nat and her wonderful business.

Nat’s recent generosity shows what small community living is all about and is a testament to demonstrating unwavering kindness to others, when businesses like her own are still getting back on their feet in the post COVID era.

Nat's not alone, there are a host of other great people and businesses within our Shire that offer similar kindness, thoughtfulness and wonderful community spirit.

If you're in Port Douglas and looking for some great food, a wonderful vibe and excellent customer service, drop by the Beach Shack - you'll love it - just like us!

Thank you!
