Locals celebrate Neighbourhood Centre Week
COMING TOGETHER
The Port Douglas Neighbourhood Centre recently took part in Neighbourhood centre week where people from around the Douglas Shire celebrated, acknowledged and recognised the work of neighbourhood and community centres and the extraordinary impact they have within their local community.
As part of this year’s theme ‘locals connecting locals’ an open day was held at Port Village Shopping Centre which consisted of local live music, free hot dogs, a NicNak Shed pop up shop, petting zoo, face painting, sound healing and come and try pickle ball.
In addition, Mossman Support Services held a ‘meet your neighbour’ Day which included lunch and free entertainment by music group 'Mossman Chillout' and the 'Giggles’ along with various games like corn hole, ten pin bowling and more.
Thank you!
