A little boxing dynamo is the pride of the Douglas Shire after claiming major success at the recent Australian amateur boxing league titles in Hobart.

Nate Martinelli, who trains out of Cooya Beach, took the spoils in the 51kg category.

The young boxer has spent the past four years of training out of Buzzas' Boxing gym.

He qualified for the Tasmania trip following a strong showing at the recent golden gloves’ titles.

Another Douglas Shire boxer, Josh Harris, also fought valiantly making it to an elimination bout on the second day before narrowly missing out on a finals’ appearance.

Congrats' guys!
